As from 1999, our Firm has been participating as a consortium member, in international bids called by the European Commission, regarding the outsourcing of audits of research projects.

The audit work assigned to our Consortiums of Firms under the various  framework contracts, is shown below:

September 1999 (duration 1999-2003)
Τhe audit of RTD projects of the 4th and 5th Framework Programme in all Member States of the EU and partner countries.

June 2006 (duration 2006-2009)
Τhe audit of RTD projects of the 6th Framework Programme to all Member States of the EU and partner countries.

January 2009 (duration 2009-2012)
Second assignment concerning the audits of projects of the 6th Framework Programme to all Member States of the EU and partner countries.

May 2011 (duration 2011-2015)
Assignment of the audits concerning the projects of DG INFSO (now DG-CNECT). These projects concerned the individual Directorates TENEA, EACI and EACEA.

June 2016 (duration 2016-2017)
Assignment of the audits concerning the projects of DG Budget.

August 2017 (duration 2017-2021)
Assignment of the audits concerning the projects of EACEA, EASME and INEA The executed and the on-going audits concern beneficiaries based in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Croatia and Luxembourg.

 

Our Firm’s accumulated audit experience

European Commission assignments
Over the last 20 years, our Firm has carried out the following audits assignments on behalf of the European Commission:

- 91 projects of the 4th and 5th FPs concerning a total expenditure of approximately Euro 24 million.

-115 FP6 projects concerning a total expenditure  approximately  Euro 40 million.

-61 projects of DG INFSO concerning a total expenditure of approximately Euro 20 million.

These audits are coordinated by the Central Management Team (CMT) of our Consortium of Firms, which is permanently stationed in Brussels. The CMT is in constant contact with representatives of the European Commission, having direct knowledge of the developments concerning the financial management of research projects and the changes made to the relevant regulations.

Further to this on-going process, our Firm participates in the conferences organised annually by the CMT in Brussels, which are also attended by representatives of the European Commission.

Audit Certification
Concurrently, we have issued to our clients more than 420 audit certificates under FP6, FP7 and Horizon 2020, covering more than 250 projects, concerning a total  expenditure of approximately Euro 105 million.
